Mountlake Terrace
Anglican Chantry

A Place of Ancient Prayer In A Modern World.

Who We Are

At Our Lady of Victory Anglican Chantry, we gather simply, with the timeless words of the Book of Common Prayer (1662). In a noisy age, we seek God in reverent quiet, Scripture, psalms, and sacrament. Our goal is not novelty, but the steady tradition of the Church carried into today’s world.

Our services are held in a martial arts dojo. In the early Church, Christians prayed in homes, fields, and catacombs — wherever they could meet. We follow that same spirit. Out of both practicality and reverence, we ask worshippers to remove their shoes and wear socks on the mats. It is a small return to tradition: holy ground, approached with humility.

What We Believe

At Our Lady of Victory Anglican Chantry we stand joyfully in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

  • Holy Scripture — We receive the Bible as the inspired Word of God, read, prayed, and lived within the Church that gave it.

  • The Creeds & Councils — We confess the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds and hold fast to the faith handed down by the undivided Church of the first centuries.

  • The Sacraments — We believe Christ Himself acts through the seven sacraments. In Holy Baptism we are born again into His Body, and in the Holy Eucharist we receive His true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of sins, the strengthening of faith, and the foretaste of heaven.

  • The Communion of Saints — We honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Victory, together with all the saints, who surround us in prayer and bear witness to the triumph of Christ.

  • The Daily Office — We live by the rhythm of Morning and Evening Prayer, uniting our voices with generations of Christians in psalms, Scripture, and intercession.

We believe that the Church’s tradition is not a relic but a living stream of grace. In an age of noise, loneliness, and confusion, the ancient faith of the Church is God’s remedy — beauty for despair, order for chaos, truth for doubt, and Christ’s very presence for all who seek Him.

If you are hungry for meaning, longing for reverence, or simply curious whether God is real, you are welcome here. Come and see.
